I pressed the call button to allow me access into Capone’s house. Every time I had to press this call button it pissed me off to no end. There was no reason I should have had to press it.

I was his child’s mother.

That meant I should have had access into the home at any time. Now that Erin lived here, I had to tip toe around her ass like she was the queen. It made my stomach sick every time I had to think about it.

The gates were opened, and I pulled through to pick up Pony. Capone was going out of town, so he asked me to come and keep him until he was back. I looked at the black SUV following behind me and rolled my eyes. Capone had someone with me at all times and I was pissed about it.

I couldn’t do nothing without seeing that damn SUV following behind me. Whatever was going on had to be big because he never had security on me. As much as I appreciated it, I wanted my own freedom and didn’t need to be watched over.

Ringing the bell, I waited until someone opened the door. When the door finally opened, Erin was standing there. I couldn’t hate on her, even if I wanted to. I could see why Capone was infatuated with her.

She was beautiful and every time I saw her, besides the day we first met, her hair was always laid. “Hey Ella, come in.”

She didn’t need to tell me to come in, I knew how to enter the house. Hell, I probably knew this house better than she did. “Is Capone here?”

“He ran out real quick. CJ is in the theater room. We were watching Sonic again.”

If it wasn’t bad enough that Capone had practically banished me, now he had this woman watching my kid like she was his mama. I wanted to scream, and I guess my face showed that I was upset.

“K.” I kept my arms folded as I stood in the foyer.

I had run through this house naked while fucking on the couch in the sitting room and now I was subjected to the damn foyer like a guest.

“Can we talk real quick before I get him?”

“I guess.”

We walked into the sitting room where she sat on the couch opposite from me. I sat, crossing my legs, and waiting to hear what she wanted to discuss. In my mind we didn’t have anything that we needed to discuss with each other.

She was fucking my baby daddy at the moment. Yes, I refused to believe that this was going to be long term, despite what Capone thought. I just knew this wasn’t going to last.

“I don’t know or pretend to know what you and Capone’s relationship was about. He speaks very highly of you, and I know that you’re always going to be a part of our life because of Capone Jr. I just want to make sure we’re on the same page and we’re good, too.
